duane_kcWell, the latest round of layoffs at Gateway caught up with me today...the company's going under, they just don't want to admit it. I must say, lifting the threat of being fired or having the company dissolve around me is a really liberating feeling.
In their latest cost-cutting scheme, they decided that they could save $50,000 by laying off most of the maintenance folx and making all of us take out our own trash. That's better said by saying that's they amount they would have made by selling one more computer every six days for a year.
They're desperate for profits because their stock is still in the toilet and the investors are fleeing in droves. I'm going to turn in my shares for cash, assuming I can do so now...
