If you read this, even if I don't speak to you often, please post a memory of me.

It can be anything you want, it can be good or bad, just so long as it happened.

Then post this to your journal. See what people remember about you.

The first year I saw you at the RenFest. Or rather... how I found you...

Walking innocently along, I hear a familiar voice from the info-booth near the rear gate... screaming out unabashedly across the crowd...

"UNHAND THAT CAD, YOU WENCH!!! err.... WENCH, YOU CAD!"

The day that Chris *Trendel* gave me the necklace he got for me in Ireland, and Marcy happened to walk up and see it, while you were *coughcough* admiring it. She was pissed! teehee!

I have lots, but all of my favorites are you playing with my kids. You are so caring and playful with them, and it warms my heart.

I have so many good memories of you. The best ones all relate to the moments when your bawdy persona slips a little, and the real you, kind and genuine, peeks out. One day, some years back, I'd been feeling a little like the ex-wife intruding on the ex-husband's turf every time I came out to Faire, and in the midst of hitting on me, making raunchy comments, and so on, you hit me with a casual aside of, "We love you, we'd miss you if you stopped coming around, and you are always welcome here, no matter what." I hadn't even told you why I was upset, and you said the perfect thing I needed to hear. Then you went back to discussing my cleavage and evaluating it from a technical standpoint.

I love you.

Rowan

There are quite a few, but my memory doesn't work like it used to and I'd hate to confuse a fantasy I had about you with something that "really" happened. I do believe that first time we met was at Academy when it was being held at the KC Art Institute. The details are a bit fussy, sorry. :( It was 14 years ago.

OK, I have many fun memories with you in them but the one I choose to post is one that still makes me giggle a bit when I think about it. It was a day during this recent faire season. I was wearing my cowboy style hat, and I had just walked into the kitchen and was standing near the prep table. I didn't see you, but from inside the little house I hear your voice, full of delight, say "Save a Horse, Ride a Cow-girl!" It made me chuckel and I had Big and Rich stuck in my head for a while after that.

It was a breathtaking Spring day...

the huge house on the Hudson was drinking in the warmth & everyone was on the veranda, except Cole who was playing something typically gay on the parlour grand.

The butler brought out a huge glass pitcher of iced tea w/ fresh mint, & whispered in our host's ear.

"Hullo!" cried our host in joyful surprise. "This is wonderful! You're all going to love this fellow- he's the jolliest thing on earth" He hurried off to the front of his house as we sat up in expectation. A hearty greeting, muffled by distance, then a roar of laughter. A short silence, followed by the reappearance of our host, & the bearer of a beaming smile behind him.

"I'd like you to meet..." but you forestalled him, diving onto the terrace w/ a rolling summersault, a cartwheel, & two handsprings to fetch up by the table & sniff @ the pitcher.

"Oh no, my friend. TEA?? Give me something stronger or I leave this instant!" & you picked up the pitcher & dashed its contents over the edge of the railing. I thought it was accidental @ first that some splashed on Linda, & you quickly grabbed a napkin like a gentleman to help blot it up. Now, I'm not so sure. ;-)

Just Like You

"We I grow up I want to be just like you"

Who else can call all the beautiful ladies to him and flirt openly with them and get away with it?
