Well, folks, the terrorists are winning.
Flights cancelled, tankers not shipping oil, and for what?
Because we're terrified of Osama Bin Laden and his ilk, and fear what he can do to our infrastructure. Exactly what he wants.
Our intelligence services and armed forces are being used as international police, and can't do the f'ing job. Why? Because it's NOT THEIR JOB! They aren't set up to track or find international criminals; they're out there to gather and interperet information, on the one hand, and project military power on the other. Nothing more, nothing less.
Let's do the smart thing, for once. Get New York and Detroit cops over to Iraq to train our troops in urban police work, if they're going to stay there. Gods know, they're used to working in war zones and they do it without armored cavalry suppport and automatic weapons in most cases. Have Interpol hunt down bin Laden; they're used to hunting down filth like that, they do it every day of the week. That's what they were created for. Throw enough money at them to do the job and they'll have him in custody within six months.
I'm just tired of living in fear of what *might* happen. We have the means to end this conflict; why aren't we using them?
Because Dubya wouldn't have convenient wars to distract the media from his criminal malfeasance in office, that's why.
Get off yer ass, you pinheaded Texas redneck. Stop killing our military personnel; either let them level the country and install a puppet government, or get them the hell out of there and let the Iraqis have the same freedom to fuck up their government that we have had over the last ten years or so.
