State of the Me, part 2
Jul. 8th, 2005 12:49 amWell, saw the wound care doc on Wednesday; he says he's not satisfied with the way this hole is healing, so he's going to have me in surgery Monday to open it up even further. He's afraid if he leaves the "tunnels" in place, they'll never heal and form abcesses under the skin. So I get to submit my tender body to the knife again. Oh, joy.
To everybody who's responded to my pleas for help moving, it looks like we may have all the heavy stuff moved on Friday the 15th. (I hope). Does anybody have a big furniture dolly we could borrow? (Or even a regular dolly for boxes?) With the limitations placed on me by this damn wound, I can't really lift or carry anything, and John's limited to 20 pounds because of his hernia.
Thanks to everybody who's responded over the last few days; even if I didn't respond personally, know that your good wishes and offers of assistance are very much appreciated.
We're at 7300 State Avenue, apartment 301, for all of you who'd like to help us get out of this hole; call if you need directions, 913-334-2834 is the number.
