I have an opportunity to buy a house. It's here in the small town in which I live; I like the area, so that's not a problem. It's a Fannie Mae forclosure; they're asking $39,900 for it. I checked with the Douglas County appraiser's office and the property valuation is $108,800; taxes for the year at the current mill levy are $1500. It's about 1600 square feet, two bedrooms, (the listing says three, but I disagree,), two baths.
