I have neglected...

...to inform the general populace, that, this year, I will for the first time in twenty years *not* be attending the opening weekend of the Kansas City Renaissance Festival.

Why, you ask? Why would I give up such a committment?

Well, two reasons: Reason one, the management saw fit to eliminate my position of employment last year, for which I am still a bit bitter ("a bit bitter" being of the same class of statements with "a tiny bit pregnant" and "a minor lack of oxygen").

Reason two? I'm going to Dragon*Con for the first time!
